About the role

Scania’s 2026 BSO Programme is a full‑time, structured development pathway for newly qualified diesel technicians. The programme combines hands‑on workshop experience, mentorship and technical training to prepare participants for a career in commercial vehicle servicing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines and related systems under supervision.
• Follow Scania’s quality standards, safety protocols and workshop procedures while completing job cards and service reports.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and participate in technical training sessions and assessments.

Required profile

• Completed diesel mechanic/technician trade qualification in 2026.
• Aged 18‑35, South African citizen or permanent resident, physically fit for workshop work.
• Willingness to relocate or travel as required by the programme.

Required skills

• Diesel engine diagnostics.
• Use of Scania diagnostic tools and service procedures.
• Basic computer literacy with workshop management systems and digital job cards.
