Brand Manager – South Africa & Sub‑Saharan Markets

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Brand Manager to lead brand and trade marketing initiatives across South Africa and the Sub‑Saharan African region. You will shape and execute integrated marketing programs that drive growth, profitability and consumer equity for both Direct‑to‑Consumer and wholesale channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the marketing activity calendar for DTC and wholesale channels.
• Own campaign and promotional roll‑outs, coordinating internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet deadlines.
• Develop demand‑generation plans for DTC and wholesale accounts.
• Drive PR activities and collaborate with agencies to maximise earned media.
• Oversee social‑media planning and partner channel execution.
• Serve as daily point of contact for third‑party agencies.
• Track key metrics and prepare monthly, campaign and quarterly business reviews.
• Manage a Brand Assistant and an intern as direct reports.
• Partner with the Ecommerce Manager on cross‑functional initiatives.
• Coordinate development, sourcing, production and delivery of marketing and retail tools.
• Support events, influencer marketing, seeding and e‑commerce activities.
• Evaluate proposals and manage budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in brand, trade or retail marketing.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and social‑media ecosystems.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent execution, attention to detail and commercial acumen.
