Branch Manager – Retail Sales

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the Kriel Mall branch of Sanlam Retail Mass, driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through execution of the retail branch strategy. You will oversee sales consultants, ensure compliance, and foster a service‑focused culture to deliver an optimal client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the branch’s sales and service strategy to grow the customer base.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in line with corporate objectives.
• Maintain day‑to‑day operations, including compliance, risk management and quality assurance.
• Lead people practices for direct reports – talent management, performance reviews, development, grievance handling and capacity planning.
• Prepare monthly sales and service reports and manage business planning.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5 qualifications.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending.
• Current compliance with CPD cycles and relevant professional accreditations.
