Branch Manager – Retail Financial Services

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead its Orange Farm retail branch. You will be responsible for driving growth, overseeing daily operations, and delivering an exceptional client experience within the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the branch strategy to increase customer base and revenue.
• Guide, integrate and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants in line with corporate objectives.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture that ensures optimal client experiences.
• Manage day‑to‑day branch operations, including compliance, risk and quality control.
• Oversee people practices such as talent management, performance reviews, development plans and grievance handling.
• Prepare monthly sales and service reports and monitor performance against targets.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5 qualifications.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• At least 5 years of recent industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales and credit/lending experience.
• Current Class of Business accreditation and compliance with CPD requirements.
