Branch Manager – Retail Branch

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the Boulders retail branch of Sanlam Developing Markets, driving growth of the customer base and revenue. You will be responsible for executing the branch strategy, fostering a service‑focused culture and ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the retail branch strategy to increase sales and market share.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in line with strategic goals.
• Lead a service‑delivery ecosystem that delivers an optimal client experience.
• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, including compliance, risk management and quality control.
• Manage people practices for direct reports in partnership with HR (talent, performance, development, grievances, leave).
• Prepare monthly sales and service reports and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum five years of industry experience, including at least three years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
• Current CPD compliance and annual Class of Business accreditation.
