Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

As a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor you will represent Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) in the Wolmaranstad branch, delivering tailored financial advice and high‑level client service. You will help clients meet their financial goals by promoting a range of affordable products such as funeral insurance, education savings, life cover and personal accident plans.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM products and increase market share through sound financial advice and cross‑selling.
• Identify client needs, financial goals and means, and recommend appropriate product solutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product changes and communicate them to clients.
• Validate client details against regulatory requirements and submit new business through proper channels.
• Conduct due diligence, flag risks and manage client appointments while handling walk‑in customers.
• Service existing client portfolios, send payment reminders, follow up on queries and manage policy cancellations or alternatives.
• Monitor and improve client persistency, manage NTUs and take corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards and pursue continuous development.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a focus on delivering value‑added financial solutions.
• In‑depth understanding of SRM product ranges and the ability to match them to client needs.
• Excellent client‑service mindset, capable of managing appointments and walk‑in traffic efficiently.
• Ability to conduct due diligence, identify risks and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and compliance with quality standards.
