Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor to join our Sanlam Developing Markets branch at Tshilamba Centre. In this role you will promote Sanlam Retail Mass products, provide sound financial advice and deliver a high level of client service within the branch environment.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell SRM product range, creating cross‑selling opportunities and increasing market share.
• Assess clients’ financial goals, needs and means and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Submit new business, validate client details and conduct due‑diligence in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily appointments, walk‑in clients and prioritize workload efficiently.
• Service existing client portfolios, send payment reminders, follow‑up queries and support policy cancellations or adjustments.
• Monitor and report on NTUs, ensure payment persistency and advise on alternative payment arrangements.
• Escalate complex issues using the established escalation framework and keep clients informed of product updates.
• Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards and pursue continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a proven ability to understand and meet client needs.
• In‑depth knowledge of SRM product ranges and the ability to stay updated on changes.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage appointments and walk‑ins.
• Attention to detail for validating client information and conducting risk assessments.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality client service and maintaining compliance.
