Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

The Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor will work from the Boulders branch of Sanlam Developing Markets, delivering tailored financial advice and promoting the Sanlam Retail Mass product suite. You will help clients meet their financial goals while growing the branch’s market share.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM products and increase market share through proactive sales and cross‑selling.
• Provide sound, personalised financial advice to walk‑in and appointment clients.
• Identify client needs, recommend appropriate products and submit new business through the correct channels.
• Conduct due‑diligence, validate client details and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily appointment schedule while handling walk‑in enquiries.
• Maintain client portfolios, send payment reminders, follow‑up on queries and manage policy cancellations or changes.
• Monitor and act on NTU (Not Taken Up) cases and support persistency of client payments.
• Assess client risk profiles and propose alternative payment arrangements where needed.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a focus on delivering high‑quality client service.
• In‑depth understanding of the SRM product range and ability to match products to client goals.
• Good knowledge of regulatory and product compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills to prioritise appointments and walk‑in traffic.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
