Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Botshabelo Mall)

About the role

The Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor will provide sound financial advice and high‑level client service within the Botshabelo Mall branch, promoting Sanlam Retail Mass products and helping to increase market share.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advice, create cross‑selling opportunities and maintain deep knowledge of SRM product ranges.
• Assess client needs, recommend suitable products, keep customers informed of new or changed products, and submit new business through the correct channels.
• Validate client details, conduct due‑diligence, manage appointments and walk‑ins, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Service client profiles, send payment reminders, follow‑up on queries, manage NTUs and persistency, and consult on alternative payment arrangements.
• Handle policy cancellations, provide alternative options, resolve client queries or escalate as needed.
• Stay up‑to‑date with compliance, quality standards, CPD points, and flag potential fraud or risks.
• Log all activities, maintain records, and report daily, weekly and monthly using the appropriate technology platforms.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as requested by the Retail Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a sales or marketing capacity; insurance branch experience is an advantage.
• FAIS compliance as per DOFA requirements; RE5 advantageous.
• Willingness to complete Class of Business training within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to understand and apply SRM product ranges and regulatory requirements.
