About the role
OVK is looking for a motivated Branch Assistant (Takassistent) to join its retail team in Paul Roux. The role combines customer service, sales and basic administrative duties within a busy trading environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and promote products to increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain cash registers.
- Control stock levels, replenish shelves and manage inventory.
- Maintain the presentation of the shop floor and ensure shelves are well‑stocked.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as record keeping and reporting.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 2–3 years experience in a trade/retail branch.
- At least 2 years experience in customer service and marketing (advantage).
- Strong communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- General computer literacy.
