Branch Advisor (FAIS)

About the role

As a Branch Advisor (FAIS) you will deliver compliant, professional financial advice to walk‑in and existing clients in a high‑volume branch. The role focuses on understanding client needs, offering suitable product solutions and maintaining strong relationships while adhering to FAIS, FICA and Treating Customers Fairly principles.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience, addressing transactional needs and guiding customers to the appropriate eChannels and self‑service platforms.
• Analyse client data and deliver tailored financial advice in line with FAIS requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Achieve individual and branch sales and service targets while managing leads, referrals and follow‑ups within agreed timeframes.
• Uphold ethical standards, demonstrate empathy and stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or a related field recognised by FAIS.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing, service delivery or client support within financial services.
• Strong understanding of FAIS, TCF and client‑centric advice principles.
• Proven ability to meet sales, service and compliance targets.
• Client‑focused, ethical, results‑driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
