Bookkeeper/Costing Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper/Costing Analyst to own the full finance process up to trial balance while supporting commercial decisions in a stock‑driven environment. You will work closely with a collaborative finance team and help shape costing practices as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Process transactions, perform reconciliations and manage the trial balance, debtors, creditors and cashbook.
• Execute month‑end activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Develop product costing models, analyse supplier pricing and monitor cost movements.
• Produce reports that inform purchasing and pricing decisions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or Bookkeeping, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3‑5 years of full‑function bookkeeping experience up to trial balance.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with an ERP system such as Sage Evolution or Pastel.
• Exposure to stock‑based businesses (manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture or distribution) is highly advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and own car.
