Bookkeeper – Sage Evolution (Full‑time)

About the role

DataFin IT Recruitment is looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper to join a dynamic provider of innovative software and systems solutions. You will maintain accurate financial records, process transactions and support the finance function through effective banking, reconciliations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Cashbook, credit‑card and bank reconciliations (50%): process supplier transactions, reconcile credit‑card and petty‑cash, perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• COD & weekly payment administration (20%): manage cash‑on‑delivery supplier accounts, prepare weekly payment/travel submissions and distribute proof of payments.
• Fixed assets register administration (5%): update the register, record asset additions/disposals and post depreciation journals.
• Banking administration (15%): load approved supplier reconciliations onto the FNB online banking platform, maintain beneficiaries and administer company credit cards.
• Insurance administration (3%): keep insurance records up‑to‑date and assist with claims.
• General financial administration (2%): distribute monthly credit‑card statements and maintain filing on SharePoint.
• Compliance & policies (5%): ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Certificate in Bookkeeping or National Diploma in Finance/Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in Sage Evolution.
