Bookkeeper

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Bookkeeper to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of our financial transactions and records. The role supports strategic decisions by providing reliable financial information and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Record and classify all financial transactions, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities and equity.
• Maintain up‑to‑date ledgers, journals and spreadsheets, both electronic and hard‑copy.
• Process payroll data, import and balance payroll dumps, and prepare third‑party reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit‑card statements and general ledger accounts.
• Process and pay invoices, manage client invoices, payments and credit notes, and handle supplier documentation.
• Prepare and submit BBBEE reports, management reports and audit samples.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate financial records and perform bank and payroll reconciliations.
• Experience preparing financial reports, BBBEE reports and audit documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within regulatory and organizational policies.
