About the role
Precise Staffing Solutions is recruiting a bookkeeper based in Germiston. The role covers bank reconciliations, supplier and customer postings, payroll processing and statutory reporting, using QuickBooks Online, Sage VIP Payroll and Excel.
Key responsibilities
- Post expenses (suppliers) and customers on a weekly basis and reconcile bank statements against the trial balance and general ledger.
- Balance Nedbank accounts and FNB bank statements to the ledger, and reconcile suppliers monthly.
- Email customer statements to clients at the end of each month.
- Post wages weekly and balance them for 27 employees, update employee details in Sage VIP Payroll, and prepare annual bonus and leave pay schedules.
- Submit EMP201 and UIF monthly and yearly, and keep a record of sick leave.
- Reconcile provident and pension funds, including NUMSA, and submit MIBFA reports.
- Make payments to suppliers by their due dates.
- Handle SARS: submit PAYE (EMP201) by the 7th of each month, file VAT monthly, and prepare year-end submissions and IRP5s.
- Prepare the year file according to auditor specifications.
