Bookkeeper – Full‑time (Gauteng)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join audit and accounting firms in Pretoria. The role involves managing the full bookkeeping cycle up to the trial balance and supporting payroll where required. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete bookkeeping records, posting transactions and preparing trial balances.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports in accordance with South African regulations.
• Assist with payroll processing when needed.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal control procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience within audit or accounting firms.
• Matric qualification; bookkeeping or accounting qualification is an advantage.
• Fluent Afrikaans as a home language.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and own vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pastel or Sage accounting software.
• Ability to handle payroll processing (advantageous).
