Bookkeeper – Finance Team

About the role

Network Finance is seeking a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join its finance team in Johannesburg North. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will ensure accurate processing, recording, and maintenance of financial transactions across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, including journals, postings, and adjustments up to trial balance.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with annual audit preparation, audit packs, fixed‑asset register audits, and insurance updates.
• Manage the full creditors function: reconciliations, payment requisitions, banking verification, payment loading, and foreign payment documentation.
• Oversee debtor accounts: reconciliations, statements, age analysis, credit applications, and compliance.
• Follow up overdue accounts and support debt‑collection activities.
• Process and reconcile company credit cards, petrol cards, petty cash, and bank accounts.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure all documentation is submitted for payment.
• Provide general finance administration and support the Accounts Manager with ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years’ bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with Sage Evolution (Pastel Evolution) or a similar accounting system – essential.
• Experience with SAP Business One – advantageous.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

What we offer

• Annual salary between R300,000 and R340,000.
