Bookkeeper – 3+ Years Experience Required

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join our mining and construction finance team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, manage payables and receivables, and support payroll and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Capture daily transactions, expenses, receipts and payments to keep financial records up‑to‑date.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, client invoicing and follow‑ups.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card, supplier and customer accounts, investigating any discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing as needed.
• Support VAT returns and preparation of information for income‑tax submissions.
• Maintain organised digital and physical records that are audit‑ready.
• Prepare and support monthly financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements.

Required profile

• Relevant bookkeeping certification or tertiary qualification.
• Minimum three years of bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in the mining or construction sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP/finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from R30 000 to R40 000 per month, dependent on experience.
