About the role

The Boiler Utilities Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of steam boiler systems and associated equipment. This role ensures continuous production while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor steam boilers and related systems on a daily basis.
• Perform boiler house safety checks and follow standard operating procedures.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks and identify faults promptly.
• Log boiler performance data and report any anomalies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as the Pressure Equipment Regulations.
• Manage steam system start‑up, shutdown and operational adjustments.
• Apply knowledge of water chemistry and treatment to maintain optimal boiler conditions.
• Execute emergency response protocols for boiler operations.
