Billing & Authorization Manager

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Billing & Authorization Manager to join our remote team in South Africa. The role focuses on ensuring that billing codes, insurance authorizations and supporting documentation are accurate, compliant and entered correctly into our EMR and billing systems, supporting pediatric and early‑intervention services.

Key responsibilities

• Review billing codes and insurance authorizations for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Obtain and maintain all required authorizations before services are billed, monitoring expirations and extensions.
• Enter and update authorization and billing information in the EMR and billing platform.
• Communicate with therapists, clinicians and insurance companies to resolve missing documentation, denials or discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve billing and authorization issues promptly, keeping well‑organized records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in medical billing and insurance authorizations.
• Strong understanding of CPT codes, payer requirements and medical billing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple authorizations, deadlines and follow‑ups simultaneously.
• Professional communication with healthcare providers and insurers.
