Barista – Wellness Facility (White River, Mpumalanga)

About the role

We are looking for a professional, friendly Barista to join a wellness facility in White River. You will prepare and serve high‑quality coffee, tea, smoothies and other beverages to residents, guests and staff while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso‑based drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites and specialty coffees.
• Make teas, hot chocolate, smoothies, juices and other beverages as required.
• Take orders accurately, handle special requests and provide courteous service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment and surrounding area.
• Clean and sanitise coffee machines, grinders and utensils daily.
• Monitor stock levels of beans, milk, syrups, teas, sugar and cups; report low stock and assist with replenishment.
• Check expiry dates, store products correctly and minimise waste.
• Follow food safety, infection‑control and occupational health procedures.
• Report equipment faults promptly and support the team during events or busy periods.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a Barista, preferably in hotel, lodge, restaurant, healthcare or luxury hospitality settings.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift beverage supplies.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a service‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Operating commercial coffee machines and grinders.
• Preparing espresso‑based beverages to consistent standards.
• Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods and specialty drinks.
• Food safety, hygiene and stock‑control procedures.
