About the role
The Banking and AP Accountant will lead the daily operational requirements of the banking and accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance through robust internal controls.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the banking and accounts payable teams.
- Process banking transactions, including statement uploads and EFT matching.
- Oversee cash planning, funding and investment transfers for legal entities and business units.
- Drive bi‑weekly AP payment cycles, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
Required profile
- BCom degree in Accounting.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and systems.
- Basic computer literacy.
