Back End C# Developer – Contract – Gauteng/Hybrid

About the role

Our client is seeking a senior Back End Developer proficient in C# to join the iJIX core feature team. The role is contract‑based, based in Gauteng with a hybrid work model, and focuses on maintaining and extending a mission‑critical software platform that drives Just‑in‑Time and Just‑in‑Sequence parts supply across international production facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services using C# and the Microsoft technology stack.
• Define and evolve scalable micro‑service architectures, containerised deployments and serverless components in Azure.
• Lead technical mentorship for internal engineers and external consultants, translating ambiguous requirements into robust solutions.
• Own the full CI/CD pipeline, ensuring reliable builds, automated testing and smooth releases.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents, especially runtime bugs affecting real‑time logistics workflows.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional C# development experience.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑grade backend systems for complex, real‑time supply‑chain environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and guide cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, diplomatic approach.
