AV Draughtsman & Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AV Draughtsman / Design Engineer to create and review technical drawings that support the delivery of audio‑visual projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients and vendors to ensure designs meet specifications and are ready for installation.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and review AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings according to technical standards.
• Develop detailed infrastructure, rack layout, wiring, custom plate and cabling assembly drawings for architects, contractors and electrical teams.
• Prepare cable run and pull lists, and verify Bills of Materials against purchase orders and project scopes.
• Provide design support to project, sales and field engineering teams, including on‑site supervision, commissioning and training.
• Capture field mark‑ups and convert them into accurate as‑built drawings.
• Participate in technical discussions, vendor meetings and research emerging AV technologies.

Required profile

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Multidisciplinary draughting certificate.
• 1–3 years of draughting experience, preferably in signage, AV systems or control rooms.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
