Auto Electrician – Vehicle Electrical Specialist

About the role

Join a well‑established automotive service company in Pretoria as an Auto Electrician. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle electrical systems, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components.
• Test batteries, alternators, starter motors and related circuits.
• Repair or replace wiring and electrical parts.
• Conduct diagnostic testing using specialised equipment.
• Install electrical accessories and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Auto Electrical Trade Test Certificate or Red Seal.
• Minimum 5+ years post‑trade experience in vehicle electrical fault‑finding.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
