Audit Supervisor - Johannesburg

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join their growing audit team. This role is suited to a technically strong and motivated audit professional who enjoys leading engagements, developing junior staff and building long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Review audit files and financial statements to ensure compliance with ISAs and firm standards.
• Manage engagement budgets, workflow and deadlines effectively.
• Supervise, mentor and develop SAICA Trainee Accountants.
• Provide guidance and feedback to team members to support their professional development.
• Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships.
• Work closely with Partners to ensure consistent, high-quality client service.
• Drive accountability and maintain a positive and productive team environment.
• Manage multiple priorities while consistently delivering high-quality work under pressure.
• Contribute to strengthening the overall performance culture of the practice.

Required profile

• BCom (Hons), CTA or equivalent qualification; CA(SA) advantageous.
• Minimum 1-year post‑articles experience in an audit supervisory role.
• Proven experience leading audit engagements and managing a team.
• Strong technical auditing knowledge and CaseWare proficiency.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, delivery‑focused approach.
