About the role
The Audit Manager will lead audit engagements from planning through final delivery, ensuring high‑quality work and strong client relationships. This role starts fully onsite for three months to support onboarding, after which a hybrid working model is available.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize audit assignments, meeting deadlines and budget targets.
- Supervise, review, and provide feedback on audit work in line with International Standards of Auditing.
- Prepare audit budgets, monitor actuals, and investigate variances.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards, including UK FRS102 where applicable.
- Address team performance issues and foster a positive work environment.
- Liaise with managers, directors, and other departments to deliver seamless service.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant (CA(SA), AGA(SA) or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in an audit and accounts practice with deep knowledge of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
- Proven ability to identify and assess risks and implement effective controls.
- Strong client‑relationship skills and long‑term relationship building.
- Experience leading teams, providing mentorship and managing dynamics.
