Audit Manager – Experienced Audit Leader

About the role

A well‑established auditing firm based in Pretoria East is seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, oversee audit teams and maintain strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Review audit files to ensure compliance with applicable auditing and accounting standards.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior and intermediate audit staff.
• Communicate effectively with clients and address audit‑related queries.
• Identify and assess audit risks and perform appropriate audit procedures.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Ensure audits are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Auditing or a related field (SAICA articles advantageous).
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body.
• Minimum five years of audit experience with proven management experience.
• Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
• Experience managing audit teams and multiple client engagements.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport (advantageous).
