About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail‑oriented Audit Clerk to join our client’s team in PTA East, Pretoria. The role involves supporting audit engagements from planning through to the preparation of audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with IRBA standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform full audit planning for client engagements.
- Complete relevant audit programmes and prepare lead schedules and lead sheets.
- Prepare and review Excel‑based working papers, including the Audit Toolbar.
- Compile electronic audit files in line with IRBA standards.
- Prepare audited annual financial statements.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date timesheets.
- Undertake ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Required profile
- Completed accounting degree.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- CaseWare.
- SAGE Online.
- Microsoft Excel (including Audit Toolbar).
