Audit and Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Audit and Financial Reporting Manager to lead a diverse client portfolio. The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end audit, accounting and tax engagements while ensuring compliance, quality delivery and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering audit, accounting and tax assignments accurately and on time.
• Plan engagements, allocate resources, set budgets and monitor timelines.
• Oversee delivery of audit and accounting work to meet firm standards and budgets.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Communicate clearly with clients throughout engagements to manage expectations.
• Review team work for technical accuracy and readiness for senior review.
• Prepare technical assessments, complex year‑end financial statements, consolidations and corporate tax computations.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA), ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Audit Manager or Financial Reporting Manager role within an accounting practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, audit requirements and tax legislation.
• Proven ability to lead multiple engagements and develop junior staff.
• Excellent communication, organisational and project‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with IRIS (advantageous).
• Experience with CaseWare (advantageous).
