Atlassian Consultant

About the role

Using your excellent knowledge of Atlassian products, you will advise customers on product selection, licensing, implementation, configuration and ongoing support. The role involves both consulting new clients and supporting existing Atlassian users across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for customers using the Atlassian stack.
• Lead pre‑sales activities, gather requirements and recommend solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with product enhancements and guide customers on impact.
• Deliver Agile and ITSM best‑practice guidance.
• Assess marketplace apps and match them to customer needs.
• Manage the i1Solutions Atlassian product stack, including users, configurations and optimisations.
• Drive internal adoption of Atlassian tools.
• Explain licensing levels and maintain current Atlassian certifications.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• 5+ years of Atlassian consulting experience and current Atlassian certification.
• Relevant ICT degree or equivalent diploma.
• South African resident willing to travel domestically.
• Self‑starter with disciplined, detail‑oriented work ethic and solid problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Experience applying Agile and ITSM best practices.
