Associate BI Specialist - Cape Town

About the role

The Associate Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist will support the development and continuous improvement of business systems, asset management processes, and reporting capabilities for a portfolio of renewable energy assets. Working closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams, the role leverages data, ERP systems, and Power BI to drive operational excellence and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and enhancement of ERP and asset management systems.
• Maintain ERP master data, including inventory, suppliers, equipment, and maintenance plans.
• Improve maintenance, work order, materials management, and related business processes.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
• Analyse operational and maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor asset‑management KPIs and produce monthly performance scorecards.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Provide ERP user support and training to operational teams.
• Coordinate inventory stock counts and support site audits.
• Ensure compliance with asset‑management and operational standards.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across the business.
• Travel to operational renewable‑energy sites as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or BTech in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or similar).
• 2+ years of experience implementing or improving business systems and processes.
• Experience with ERP or CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, IFS, Pronto or similar.
• Background in asset management, maintenance planning or reliability processes.
