About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and results‑driven Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The role focuses on maintaining the integrity of the fixed‑asset register, performing reconciliations, and supporting sound financial management practices within a well‑established company.
Key responsibilities
- Establish, implement and maintain all components of the fixed‑asset register system and related reconciliations in line with policies.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the fixed‑asset register, verifying information and assisting with monthly management accounts.
- Support all departments in processing approved payments and maintaining financial records.
- Plan, direct and manage reconciliation activities, ensuring efficient discharge of accounting obligations.
- Develop transparent communication channels among stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial processes.
- Oversee the reconciliation process, regularly update, analyse and monitor departmental performance against the business plan.
- Assist with month‑end closing activities and provide input for junior finance staff performance.
