About the role
Glencore is advertising an artisan learnership in Rustenburg, covering four trades: Fitting, Boilermaking, Instrumentation and Electrical. The programme is aimed at learners who need to complete the development phases within a set timeframe, under the supervision of an Artisan.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that programme objectives and associated tasks are well understood.
- Complete all phases of the development programme within the specified time frame.
- Escalate queries and concerns about the programme and its completion where necessary.
- Assist the Artisan with monitoring, reporting and repairing faulty components.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Perform other related tasks as set out by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) and N2 Technical (trade-related subjects and relevant trade theory) or higher.
- Proficiency in written English.
- Medically fit in terms of the OHS Act.
- Knowledge of HSEC systems.
