Area Sales Manager – Pietermaritzburg, Ladysmith & Newcastle

About the role

Würth South Africa is seeking an Area Sales Manager to act as a brand ambassador across Pietermaritzburg, Ladysmith and Newcastle. The role involves leading a team of Customer Sales Consultants, driving sales growth and ensuring the implementation of the company’s multichannel strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Customer Sales Consultants to achieve monthly and annual budgets.
• Develop and maintain an up‑to‑date planning system for all customers in the assigned area.
• Drive sales growth, profit margins and customer balance growth for each team member.
• Travel with consultants up to 15 days per month and conduct regular one‑on‑one and group meetings.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and business development in relevant market segments.
• Recruit, coach, and manage performance, including handling disciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent; a marketing or business degree/diploma is advantageous.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a Sales Manager.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Proven sales track record with strategic thinking and high commitment.
• Clear disciplinary, criminal, and credit records.
