Area Sales Manager

About the role

Würth South Africa is looking for an Area Sales Manager to act as a brand ambassador, lead a sales team and provide sales services to customers across KwaZulu‑Natal. The role involves driving sales growth, managing a team of Customer Sales Consultants and implementing the company’s multichannel strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an up‑to‑date planning system for all customers.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Customer Sales Consultants to achieve monthly and annual budgets.
• Accountable for sales growth, profit margins and customer balance growth of each team member.
• Drive the multichannel strategy and ensure the team implements current focus topics.
• Travel with consultants up to 15 days per month and conduct regular performance meetings.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and business development across relevant market segments.
• Recruit, coach, develop and, when necessary, discipline team members.
• Maintain accurate data, ensure fair geographical coverage and adhere to pricing policies.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent; pursuing or completed a marketing/business degree or diploma is advantageous.
• Residency in or around KwaZulu‑Natal.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a Sales Manager.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proven sales track record, goal‑driven and self‑motivated.
• Leadership, strategic thinking, emotional‑quotient and report‑writing abilities.
• Computer literacy (MS Office) and relevant product knowledge.
• Clear disciplinary, criminal and credit records.
