Architectural Technologist – Pretoria (Lynnwood)

About the role

Shift Pursuit Pty Ltd is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its Pretoria team. The role focuses on large‑scale mixed‑use and commercial projects, guiding them from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sketch illustrations in Revit based on design briefs.
• Produce and coordinate council submission documentation, including SDP and building plan submissions.
• Develop detailed design documentation, technical drawings, specifications, and reports in line with SACAP regulations.
• Lead projects from concept to completion while meeting client requirements, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings, conduct quality control inspections, and monitor construction on behalf of the architect.
• Provide leadership and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Architecture or NQF Level 7/8 qualification.
• Eligibility to register with SACAP as an Architectural Technologist (registration as a Professional Architect advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant architectural experience, including managing a division and working on large‑scale mixed‑use and complex commercial developments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Lumion, Photoshop.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
