Application Development Manager

About the role

Humankind Group is looking for an experienced Application Development Manager to lead a dynamic team in creating, deploying, and enhancing cutting‑edge applications and systems software. You will be responsible for aligning development initiatives with business goals and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of application development and deployment, ensuring projects meet organizational objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and guide the team to deliver solutions that satisfy those needs.
• Conduct systems analysis of existing applications to identify efficiency improvements and recommend enhancements.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend software products and services for procurement and development.
• Coordinate feasibility studies and provide insights for software and system product decisions.
• Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, standards, budgets, and status reports.
• Manage tactical and operational aspects of project teams, including resource allocation and performance monitoring.
• Establish reporting lines, delegate responsibilities, and set clear goals for the development team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in application development or software engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and business/system analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial accountability within an ICT environment.
• Familiarity with industry quality standards, change management, and ICT governance best practices.
