Analytics Engineer

About the role

As an Analytics Engineer you will support senior analytics engineers across multiple functional data domains at JUMO. You will collaborate with product owners, data and prediction teams, finance, marketing and external partners to investigate data warehouses and operational stores, ensuring data quality and delivering actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior analytics engineers and serve internal and external data requests.
• Investigate and understand end‑to‑end architecture of functional domains.
• Perform quality assurance on new and existing data sets and pipelines, identifying inconsistencies and guiding remediation.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis using advanced query and discovery techniques.
• Define reporting requirements and build operational reports and strategic dashboards.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of data or systems analysis experience, preferably in a BI environment.
• University degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics or equivalent.
• Proven ability to analyse business processes and communicate recommendations at all organisational levels.
• Real‑world understanding of data processing, storage and relational databases.
• Strong critical‑thinking skills under pressure, with experience in Agile, data governance and QA standards.

Required skills

• SQL experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift or SQL Server.
• Advanced Excel.
• Complex data query writing (any language).
• GitHub and JIRA (or similar project‑management tools).
• Agile methodologies, Data Governance and QA standards.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Grafana or Superset.
• Experience with Airflow, NiFi, big‑data environments, data lakes, event‑streaming and API integrations (optional but valued).
