Analytics and Optimisation Manager

About the role

The Analytics and Optimisation Manager leads data‑driven commercial, operational and decision‑making initiatives across Shoprite supermarkets. The role delivers in‑depth performance insights, identifies optimisation opportunities and drives operational efficiency through analytics, forecasting and continuous improvement. It also ensures consistent reporting and supports the commercial advancement of the supermarket network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data‑driven commercial and operational initiatives across the supermarket network.
• Provide detailed performance insights and reporting to support strategic decision‑making.
• Identify and prioritize optimisation opportunities to improve store efficiency.
• Develop and maintain forecasting models and continuous improvement strategies.
• Ensure uniformity of reporting, insights and optimisation activities across all stores.
• Maintain commercial advancement within supermarkets through consistent analytics.
• Address capacity constraints by delivering timely optimisation activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement data‑based solutions.
