About the role
Service and maintain alarm systems for domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, including advanced CCTV, intercom and access control installations. The role involves on‑site programming, testing, fault finding and integration of communication devices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct service calls, maintenance, repairs and installations of alarm systems.
- Program alarm panels, re‑program systems after take‑overs and install communication devices.
- Prepare handovers, quotations, invoices and job cards for each service call.
- Perform vehicle, electrical and ladder inspections and report to the Field Line Manager.
Required profile
- Valid driver’s licence and PSIRA Grade C registration.
- Matric qualification with at least 4 years of experience as an alarm technician.
- Experience in programming, wiring, installations and fault‑finding of alarm systems.
Required skills
- Knowledge of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox and Texecom alarm systems.
- Familiarity with Listener (advantageous).
- Ability to install and integrate radio, telephone, GSM and IP communication devices.
