Agronomist & Technical Marketer – Howick

About the role

Join a leading South African agricultural company as an Agronomist / Technical Marketer based in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal. You will combine agronomic expertise with commercial acumen to promote premium seed products, support farmers in the field, and drive sales growth across your territory.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell premium Agricol seed products, consistently exceeding sales targets.
• Provide expert agronomic and technical advice to farmers and customers to optimise crop performance.
• Plan, execute, and document product trials, sharing results with both the company and the farming community.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with a diverse client base, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support sales initiatives and deliver field assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, trial data, and activities using company systems.

Required profile

• Relevant agricultural or seed‑sales qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent spoken and written Afrikaans (non‑negotiable).
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop professional relationships.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and record‑keeping tools.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Highly self‑motivated, able to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
