AEO Marketing Specialist – Optimise Brand Visibility

About the role

We are looking for an AEO Marketing Specialist to lead Answer Engine Optimisation initiatives that boost brand visibility across AI‑driven search platforms, voice assistants and emerging discovery tools. Based in Cape Town’s City Bowl, you will work closely with SEO, content and product teams to ensure our clients’ content is positioned as the preferred answer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute AEO strategies that align with business goals.
• Optimise existing and new content for AI‑powered search, voice search and answer engines.
• Conduct keyword, entity, audience and search‑intent research to inform content structures.
• Implement schema markup, structured data and knowledge‑graph techniques to improve answer visibility.
• Audit content assets, identify gaps and recommend enhancements to increase authority.
• Monitor performance metrics, visibility and engagement using analytics tools.
• Collaborate with SEO, digital marketing and product teams to integrate AEO best practices.
• Stay up‑to‑date with generative AI, conversational search and emerging search technologies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism or related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital marketing or AEO‑related roles.
• Proven track record of improving organic visibility and search performance.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven search platforms and generative engine optimisation is a plus.
