Advancing Financial Adviser – Mthatha & Surrounds

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to serve clients in Mthatha and surrounding areas. You will provide consultative financial advice, identify client needs, and match them with suitable long‑term insurance and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their financial goals and challenges.
• Analyse client information and synthesize recommendations for insurance and investment products.
• Drive sales by translating customer engagements into appropriate product placements.
• Maintain accurate records and manage sales data using the company’s sales software.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience in financial services as a Financial Adviser.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business and relevant FAIS requirements (e.g., Investments Class of Business, RE5).
• Valid driver’s licence, own car, and clear criminal and credit checks.
• Strong computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, and solid planning and organisational abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, business acumen, grit, resilience and tenacity.
