About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to join its Morningside branch in Durban. The role focuses on delivering financial advice, building client relationships, and driving sales of long‑term insurance and investment products.

Key responsibilities

• Collate, analyse and synthesise client information to provide tailored financial solutions.
• Translate customer engagements into sales opportunities and close deals.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned market.

Required profile

• Matric (or equivalent) qualification.
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Financial Adviser in financial services.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business; additional FAIS qualifications (e.g., Investments Class of Business, RE5) are advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and own car.
• Clear criminal and credit check.
• Computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning, organising, and analytical abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with sound business acumen, grit and resilience.
