Advancing Financial Adviser

About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting an Advancing Financial Adviser in Welkom. The role covers customer service, relationship building and prospecting, with a focus on clarifying customer needs and developing relationships through calls and face-to-face contact.

Key responsibilities

• Handle simple customer inquiries and refer more complex matters to colleagues
• Check that basic customer details in the system are accurate and record follow-up actions and notes from each sales call
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their requirements
• Make calls to potential customers and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality standards and regulatory and internal codes of conduct
• Support business development and identify potential customers through information, referrals and recommendations from existing customers
• Select data from others and enter it into spreadsheets or standard formats
• Take part in a network of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advance or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent
• Competencies such as stakeholder balancing, effective communication, customer focus, accountability, trust-building and managing complexity
