Advancing Financial Adviser (Hartswater / De Aar / Kimberley / Douglas)

About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting an Advancing Financial Adviser based in De Aar, covering the Hartswater, De Aar, Kimberley and Douglas areas. The role combines customer service, relationship building and prospecting, with a focus on simple inquiries, CRM data accuracy and business development support.

Key responsibilities

• Handle simple customer inquiries and refer more complex matters to colleagues
• Check that routine inquiries meet established standards and protocols
• Receive visitors and help with information requests
• Keep customer details in the system accurate and record follow-up actions and notes from each sales call
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their needs
• Call allocated potential customers by phone or in person to build relationships and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality standards and regulatory and internal codes of conduct
• Support business development and identify potential customers through information, referrals and recommendations from existing customers
• Select and enter data into spreadsheets or standard formats
• Take part in a network of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advance or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent (required)
• Appointments are made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the business unit
