Advancing Financial Adviser – Bethlehem, Lindley, Reitz

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for an Advancing Financial Adviser to join its team in Bethlehem (covering Lindley and Reitz). You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing service, gathering information and supporting sales activities while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle standard customer service inquiries and direct complex issues to senior colleagues.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system and log follow‑up actions after each interaction.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their financial needs.
• Prospect and develop relationships with allocated potential customers through phone or face‑to‑face visits.
• Identify sales opportunities by gathering referrals and recommendations from existing clients.
• Follow mandatory operational and compliance procedures to meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Support routine business‑development tasks and assist colleagues with established processes.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent.
• Strong customer‑focus with the ability to listen, ask probing questions and qualify prospects.
• Ability to work independently while building networks inside and outside the organisation.
• Commitment to operational compliance and accountability.
