Advanced Life Support Paramedic – Industrial Site (3‑Year Contract)

About the role

The position involves responding to emergency calls and delivering advanced medical care on industrial mining sites across South Africa. It supports the expansion of new mining locations such as Emalahleni, Ogies, and others. The role is offered on a three‑year contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
• Administer patient care in line with the ALS Paramedic scope of practice.
• Promote and maintain a positive public image for ER24.
• Provide basic shift administration services.

Required profile

• Essential education: Critical Care Assistant (CCA) or a National Diploma/Diploma in Emergency Medical Care.
• Desired education: Completion of training related to the Health Professions Council of South Africa Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Essential experience: Newly qualified ALS Paramedic with operational EMS experience.
• Desired experience: At least one year of ALS operational experience.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of EMS environment and relevant facilities, travel routes, and demographic areas.
• Familiarity with HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice.
• Ability to complete patient report forms accurately.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
