Admitted Attorney – Tax Law Specialist

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analyse tax legislation, regulations, and case law.
• Draft and review tax opinions, submissions, legal arguments, and supporting documentation.
• Engage with SARS on audits, verifications, objections, and appeals, and liaise with other regulatory authorities where required.
• Advise on complex tax matters, including structuring, and apply legislation to practical client and commercial scenarios.
• Collaborate with tax specialists, accountants, and senior legal professionals to develop sound client solutions.
• Stay abreast of legislative developments and emerging issues within your area of specialisation.
• Contribute to technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Admission as an attorney.
• Clear interest in tax law; previous tax exposure is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑performance environment.
• Proactive approach, personal accountability, and willingness to learn.
